Vacation Care Program Sept 09

 OSHC has vacancies on the following nights:

• Monday
•  Tuesday and
•  Wednesday.

We currently have vacancies every morning in Before School Care.

Vacancies still available in Vacation Care for this term's holidays.

This Vacation Care will be run by Carina and Heather. Both are trained and experienced teachers.

Out of School Hours Care - Overview

At Dorset Primary School we offer a range of quality, accredited Out of School Hours Care program.

Out of School Hours Care

At Dorset Primary School we offer a range of quality, accredited Out of School Hours Care program. Our Care Program was recently accredited and received a high quality pass.

Our Before School Care program begins at 7:00am until the beginning of the school day. Children in care are transferred to their classrooms by Care staff. Children are provided with breakfast where appropriate and are prepared for the school day with a range of calm and engaging activities. 

The Dorset After School Hours Care program begins at 3:45pm with Prep children collected from their classrooms. The program ends at 6:00pm with children able to be picked up at any time prior to this. At Care all children are provided a varied and nutritious afternoon tea before engaging in a rotating range of stimulating activity choices.  Some activities may be:

• painting, cooking and hamma beads;
• knitting, clay and playdough;
• book area, car corner and board games;
• outside play every night
• computers and homework corner and 
• art and craft using recycled materials;

Additionally, two nights a week we have professionally accredited sport providers instructing the children with gross motor skills.

A Vacation Care program is also offered by Dorset Primary School that runs an extended program with greater emphasis on creative tasks, excursions and incursions and regular provided meals and snacks.

Before-School Care is $8.00 a morning.

After-School Care is $9.50 an afternoon.

Vacation Care is $32.00 for a day, $35.00 for an incursion day and $40.00 for an excursion day.

Government concessions are available for holders of a Health Care Card.
