Chaplaincy

Chaplaincy
Chats with Chaplian Dave.

The School Chaplaincy program is a valued program running at Dorset Primary our current School Chaplain, Dave Edgar has been our Chaplain for 4 years.

A Chaplain's primary role is to care for the social and emotional well-being of students, staff and parents by being a listening ear and an to encourage. To do this, Dave often speaks with students individually, runs group programs and works together with the student services team to ensure quality pastoral care is provided to the whole school community.

Dave has been heavily involved in Dorset's pursuit to become a more mentally healthy school, Dave often liaises with outside agencies and refers families to ensure the best care possible.
